Colorado Snowcaps baseball goes far beyond providing a game schedule and a couple of cage sessions each week. Our mission is to TEACH baseball from first base to home--developing complete knowledge of this great game.

The Colorado Snowcaps program offers more than on-field skills, and certainly more than endless games with little instruction.

Our program includes

Indoor workout facility
Explosiveness training designed for baseball players
Coach-led, on-field workouts
Instructed bullpen sessions
Position drills and development
Progressive throwing programs and arm safety monitoring
Baseball specific and age appropriate strength training
A challenging game and tournament schedule.

To be included in our summer club program, is our Baseball Academy --an in-depth 2-week academy that includes classroom sessions, conditioning workouts, and skill development.

Learn about baseball stats and how those stats are calculated

RBI Runs Batted In. A batter is credited with an RBI in most cases where the result of his plate appearance is a run being scored. There are a few exceptions, however
WAR Wins Above Replacement. WAR measures a player's value in all facets of the game by deciphering how many more wins he's worth than a replacement-level player at his same position
OPS On-base plus Slugging. OPS adds on-base percentage and slugging percentage to get one number that unites the two
FPCT Fielding percentage. How often does a fielder or team make the play when tasked with fielding a batted ball, throwing a ball, or receiving a thrown ball for an out?
OBP On-base percentage. OBP refers to how frequently a batter reaches base per plate appearance
SLG, and Others Slugging percentage represents the total number of bases a player records per at-bat

On-field sessions are part of the Academy, and also continue through each club season. These sessions are led by veteran coaches who know positional intricacies and mechanics. This is invaluable in developing better baseball players.

Players also take part in

Hands-on, age-appropriate, proper lifting techniques
Conditioning drills
Explosive strength movements that are not counter-productive for baseball players

From bat flips to statistics, the primary goal of the Academy is to help players gain a thorough knowledge of the game, and an appreciation for its rich history.
